Hunting Permits

Permit fees are used by MNHA to hire staff to manage the Hunting Control Station to increase hunting opportunities at the PRR. We are open all day, Monday to Saturday, from Sep 1 through Jan 31;  primitive weapons season (Feb); and select dates during spring turkey season - unlike many other federal properties.

Permits can be purchased when the Hunting Control Station is open:  Saturdays in August (9-3) and during the hunting season (September to January).

Every hunter must appear in person to purchase a permit.

Hunters are required to complete the forms below to purchase a hunting permit. Save time at the HCS - download, print, and complete these forms and bring them with you.

The Hunting Control Center accepts cash and checks only.  (No electronic or credit card payments are accepted at this time.)

Don't forget your MD Hunting License.

This year’s fees are as follows:

MNHA works hard to keep fees as low as possible and to keep the HCS open all day, 6 days a week.  Our fees remain competitive with other refuges’ permit fees - and we offer more species and weapon choices.

NOTES:

We appreciate your understanding and continuing support of the PRR hunting program.
