Simple Core strengthening Activities for Kids:
Bridging: Have the child lie on his back and his knees bent and his feet flat on the floor. Have him push through his heels to raise the bottom up off the floor. Be sure he is keeping his head and shoulders on the ground. You can change it up by zooming some cars underneath or placing some stuffed animal and have them walk under the bridge. You can also place a pillow under his feet to make it more challenging
Superman: Have the child fly like superman. Have him lie on the stomach on the floor and lift his arms off the floor so that his upper chest comes too.
Plank: Have the child on his stomach on the floor with his hands flat on the floor at shoulder level and toes on the floor. Have him push up on his hands to straighten his arms and lift his whole body all the way to his toes off the floor. If holding the whole body is too hard, lower the knees to the floor for support.
Wheelbarrow walk - Have your child place their hands on the floor while you hold up their feet, simulating a wheelbarrow. Have the child walk their hands forward focusing on keeping their belly tight.
