Write your child's name (or have them write it if they are able) and go over it with Elmer's glue. Then sprinkle salt over top and shake off the excess (like glitter). Allow the glue to dry. Paint it with water colors, food coloring in water or watered down paint.

Materials:
● Paper or printed coloring page
● Crayons
● Scissors
● Construction paper or Card stock
● Glue stick
INSTRUCTIONS:
● Draw a simple picture, tear a page out of a coloring book or print a downloadable coloring page.
● Have your child color the page. Break the crayons in half to promote a fingertip grasp when holding the crayon.
● Optional: Glue the page to a sturdier piece of paper such as construction paper or card stock
● Have your child cut the picture apart into large pieces or strips (Keep it to 5-6 large pieces for beginners)
*You can also use this activity to work toward name recognition. Write the letters of your student’s name in large uppercase letters and cut in between each letter. Then help your child put the letters back in order.

*TRY THIS FUN WAY TO PUT THE PUZZLE TOGETHER: Have your child stand on a throw pillow on the floor and place the puzzle pieces on the floor around the pillow within reach. Now your kiddo will gather up the pieces one at a time and put the puzzle together in front of them on the floor. This is great for working on core strength and balance, as well as crossing midline.
