During the month of May we are focusing on being industrious. Industrious means working hard. Why do we work hard? Work makes life sweet. What comes from work? Everything!

For the month of April our focus will be honesty. Honesty is telling the truth. When we are honest, people trust us. Our phrase this month is: honesty is the best policy.

For the month of March we are learning about perseverance: not giving up. Our phrase this month is: If at first you don't succeed, try, try again.

For the month of February we are learning about patience. Patience is waiting with a happy spirit.

For the month of January our focus is on gratefulness. We are learning that the easiest way to show gratefulness is by saying Thank you.

For the month of December our character trait focus is kindness. Our phrase this month is: Kindness makes the world a better place.

For the month of November we are learning why it is important to be helpful. Our phrase this month is: Helpful people are happy people.

For the month of September we are learning about being responsible and respectful. Being responsible means I am in charge of my own behavior. Being respectful means I treat others how I would like to be treated.

For the month of October we are learning about being resourceful: finding the answer without guessing and being safe: keeping myself from harm.
