Concern 2: The internal fan can be heard running but the pump does not come
Inspect the Pump Unit Internals
Remove the outlet line from the pump housing and see if some water comes out when the switch is turned on. (This step verifies that there is no airlock in the motor and that the solenoid is operating properly)
No water comes out at all: Multiple issues may be present. Contact a Mistcooling technical support agent through email or by scheduling a call.
Some water comes out: Proceed to the next step-
Remove the maintenance panel* and inspect the wiring for loose connections or damage.
Not Good: Perform wire repair** and recheck operation.
Good: Proceed to the next step-
Inspect carbon brushes***: Paying attention to their orientation, remove both carbon brushes (appears to be a small, round, black plug with a slot for a flat-head screwdriver on each side of the back of the motor). Are either of the brushes worn to 3/8in or below? (uneven wear between the 2 brushes is normal)
Yes: Replace carbon brushes. MC61565 (choose the correct brush for your pump- 0.15GPM or 0.3GPM)
No: There may be an issue with the motor, pump, or transformer. Contact a Mistcooling technical support agent through email or by scheduling a call.
*Note [electrical shock warning] Unplug Misting system before attempting to perform any wiring repair on the system. Consult a professional electrician for repairs on power source wiring.
** [Caution] Wire repair may require the assistance of a professional electrician
***Note: Carbon brushes are a "wear item." Periodic replacement of carbon brushes is an expected part of maintaining this pump model.
