Concern 6: Nozzles clog up too often
Inspect Water Source
Is the system supplied water by a pressurized source or is it tank-fed?
Tank-fed Water Quality
Tank-fed systems cannot have a filter installed between the tank and the pump. It is important that water is thoroughly filtered before filling the tank, and that the tank ventilation is adequately protected from foreign substances.
Water used to fill the tank is not filtered: Our filters can be used on the source that fills the tank. See our filtration options.
The tank is protected properly and water is filtered before filling: See System Care.
Water Source Quality
Nozzles may clog in an abnormally rapid manner if the standard filter isn’t changed on time, the system is completely unfiltered, or if the initial water quality is abnormally poor.
Recommend: Change the standard filter at the correct intervals- See our filtration options.
Recommend: Upgrade to an additional scale filter- See our filtration options.
If both are already present- See System Care.
System Care
Over time, even with the best filtration available, some clogging of nozzles is normal due to the extremely small size of the nozzles’ orifices. Nozzles are considered "wear items," and occasional cleaning and replacement are still to be expected.
*Water source issues to watch out for:
Water from wells can have excessively-high scale content.
Hard water from some city sources may need additional filtration.
Air bubbles that enter the system from backflow preventers, leaky fittings, or improper air purging.
Particulates from corrosion in copper or galvanized pipes can go through even the finest filtration and clog nozzles.
