FR. MARIANO CLARENCE CANAFE, JR. LEAVES FOR AUSTRALIA

On April 25, 2025 Fr. Clarence Canafe Jr., LRMS leaves for Australia for a 4-year mission to the Diocese of Armidale. The exigency of priests in the Diocese prompted the former Bishop Michael Robert Kennedy, D.D. to seek for assistance from the Archdiocese of Manila. His Eminence Jose F. Cardinal Advincula, D.D., Archbishop of Manila forwarded the request to the Lorenzo Ruiz Mission Society and the Society responded as part of its commitment to missio ad gentes. Fr. Clarence was previously assigned as Parish Priest of Mary Immaculate parish in Dumaguete City. He is already 16 years in the priesthood and he will be a pioneering LRMS missionary to be sent to Australia. He was sent off by Msgr. Noly A. Que, LRMS, Father Moderator of the Lorenzo Ruiz Mission Society.
