Digital Citizenship

All students and educators need to acquire the skills that ensure safe and productive digital interactions across a variety of online communities. Digital Citizens make choices that allow for productive, engaging, and safe 21st Century life.  Digital Citizenship concepts and lessons are more important now than ever before.  

Digital Citizenship Lessons are part of a sequence that starts in Kindergarten and continues through 12th grade.  These lessons will help address classroom concerns about online etiquette that can enrich face-to-face relationships, prepare for 21st Century career and personal life, understand responsibilities and the long term effects of one's digital footprint, and more.

Google's Be Internet Awesome Site: 

Google has created a resource for educators to use in instruction for Internet Safety.  The targeted age range is 7-year-olds to 12-year-olds, but can extend above or below those ages. The resources include a scope and sequence of lessons and a game students can play. These resources can be found at https://beinternetawesome.withgoogle.com/en_us/educators 

Pear Deck & Google:
