Teacher Connections for Leveraging Nearpod
The Nearpod Library has over 22,000 pre-made lessons that teachers can use as-is or modify. You can search by key word, standard, grade band, or subject area.
Teachers are able to launch any lesson in Live Participation Mode or Student Paced Mode. Live Participation is when the teacher is instructing from the Promethean board and students are each logged into the activity on their devices. The teacher can share each students' drawings, writings, game participation, and recordings with each other on the common board. In Student-Paced mode, each student clicks through the activity at their own pace. Teachers can reflect on student responses later using the "Reports" feature.
The District Library has some resources from MPS available - like Nearpods to help support third, fourth, and fifth graders prepare for the Wisconsin Forward Exam.
