At its core, the Telepresence Program is an advanced video conferencing platform that provides live interaction between students at multiple campuses with a highly qualified teacher. Milwaukee telepresence schools partner to expand the number of advanced-level, high interest, and specialty courses available to students. Partner schools and teachers also receive extra support in instructional technology and engagement strategies.
Hardware Description: Equipment that augments two Promethean displays to allow for a video meeting between two locations within Milwaukee Public Schools. More details provided in the Reference Guide below.
Grade Levels: 9-12
Access: Pre-designated spaces with the equipment, including Collaborative Learning Labs. Current Schools include Alliance, Audubon, Bay View, Golda Meir, Hamilton, Madison, Marshall, Milwaukee School of Languages, North, Obama SCTE, Riverside, Vincent, and Washington.
