For a student to have access to My Path, they must first complete the i-ready Diagnostic, which provides an accurate, personalized learning path. More information on My Path.
When My Path is combined with the required Teacher-Led Targeted Instruction for Tier 2 (Tools for Instruction), My Path is a fantastic way to not only scaffold and differentiate for all students, but also for intentional use of intervention (remediation or acceleration). K5 students are not required to take the i-Ready diagnostic or use MyPath.
For more information, please go to either our Academic Google Site.
Due to the length of the test, retesting is generally discouraged. However, there are alternative approaches to consider:
We recommend that the school team discuss the student's rush flag to determine the reason the student rushed. In addition, students should be closely monitored to ensure they are not rushing through their lessons.
If Personalized Instruction (MyPath) lessons appear to be too easy for the student, teachers can adjust the student’s learning pathway to provide access to more challenging content.
Please remember, this is not a high-stakes assessment. Its primary purpose is to inform instruction. As a district, we will be monitoring time on task and aiming for a lesson pass rate of at least 70%.
