If the i-Ready Lockdown Browser is causing issues, follow these steps:
Make sure GoGuardian has NO tab restrictions for students during the test. Tab restrictinos prevent the Lockdown Browser from launching if there are too many open.
UPDATE CHROMEBOOK - MPS Technology will not push out the update right now because it could affect a lot more than just the Lockdown Browser situation. It can be done on a classroom basis. How to Update Chrome Manually doc.
Updates - Log into the Chromebook at least a day prior to administering the assessment to be sure it is up-to-date. If a Chromebook is out of date or malfunctioning try these steps: Chromebook Troubleshooting
Lockdown Browser - When students begin the i-Ready Diagnostic, the lockdown browser will be activated and remain in effect until the assessment is completed. This prevents students from accessing other applications during the test. Student Access to i-Ready Diagnostic
GoGuardian - Teachers need to be aware that during this diagnostic time having other GoGuardian restrictions in place could interfere with the secure browser’s functionality and prevent students from accessing the assessment.
Check Access - Make sure your students can log into the Chromebook and access Clever. Students moving between MPS buildings take up to 2 days to be rostered in the new building. Students new to MPS take can take up to 4 days to get access to Clever's apps - including i-Ready.
Clever Badges - If you have students that do not know their logins, you can leverage Clever Badges to speed up the process. If you are not familiar with Clever badges, here is more information: Clever Badges FAQ
Confirm Student Login - Be sure the student who has logged into the assessment is the student on the screen! If students use shared Chromebooks they may open a device that is still logged in and proceed to Clever without realizing the are not logged in as themselves.

During testing, it's important to create an environment that highlights the i-Ready Diagnostic as a valuable tool for personalizing instruction based on each student's results. Encourage students to stay focused and do their best to accurately demonstrate what they know.
Active proctoring is one of the most effective strategies during test administration. Staff should circulate around the room, monitoring student progress and encouraging students to do their best. If a student appears to be rushing, gently prompt them to slow down and take their time.
The completion status (Not Started, In Progress, Completed), along with alerts for rushed or expiring tests, can be viewed by classroom teachers in the Classroom Status Reference Sheet (student-level) and by school-wide and district-level staff the Diagnostic Status Reference Sheet.
