Prerequisite: Successful completion of Biology
Virology is a project based course investigating viruses. The topics students will investigate include viral structure, reproduction, immune system response, transmission, testing, vaccines, global response, viral evolution, world health, and local education. During this semester, students will apply 21st century skills such as communication, creativity and innovation, information literacy, media literacy, and technology skills.

Please be aware that this course may discuss viruses that may be sexually transmitted. This may include virus identification, viral transmission, symptom identification, and prevention. This may be in the form of student lead presentations, classroom worksheets and activities, visitor discussions, discussions during museum visits, and through student research.Â
