This semester-long introductory course will help students develop an understanding of Marketing concepts and theories that apply to the Sports and Entertainment industry. Students will engage in discussions, projects, and activities that help to further develop their communication, critical thinking, professional, and leadership skills. These discussions and projects will cover important topics in the Entertainment industry that include movies, concerts, sporting events, video games, and theme parks. The course will be heavily focused on real world application of the material. We will use a good deal of Total Participation Techniques to engage all students. In doing so, students will develop important skills in problem solving, communication, critical thinking, and creativity that will be useful to their endeavors after high school.
