Career Readiness

CAREER READINESS/Who are you?: Grades 9-10   Unleveled 60034                       2.5 credits

This semester 1 course allows students to explore their personality traits and build a path th their future.  Student will understand that passion and persistence creates success.  This initial course also provides a career exploration introduction.  Students will perform personal and career assessments, nad develop job search and interviewing skills.  This course is geared toward students with limited professional/career experience in their field of interest or studies.

This semester 1 course is designed for students who are NOT continuing onto the Internship Program.  Students will consider their career interests and either continue or begin planning a career path.  The course is designed to help students understand their personality traits, determine their goals. and build their hard and soft skills.  The will learn how to plan and manage a career, look at the future educational requirements to achieve success in their path, develop their elevator pitch, and participate in mock interviews.
