Who was John Jay?
John Jay played a major role in the creation of the United States. He was the governor of New York, he helped us during The Revolutionary War, created the Federalist Papers, and became the first Chief Justice in the Supreme Court. John Jay influenced our Supreme Court system today.
John Jay affected our lives today. He negotiated the Treaty of Paris which ended the Revolutionary War and gave the United States independence.
John Jay also wrote Federalist Papers which helped shape the Constitution.
