One-Page Descriptions for School Teams
One-Page Descriptions and Resources - Permission to Share2.28.2022.pptx
Since children who have combined hearing and vision loss often have large school teams with many different providers and specialists, it can be helpful to create a one-pager about the student for several reasons:
If the intervener is new, this gives them a quick summary about the student.
If the student is new to the team, seeking parent input can help strengthen the school-home relationship.
The one-pager gives a quick, comprehensive picture of the student. It can be developed with and shared by multiple team members.
Specific communication or sensory needs are quickly communicated in one document.
If the intervener is absent, the substitute can quickly understand important needs of the student.
