VikingBots (FLL Team# 23780) & RoboVikings (FTC Team# 12764)

This is a S.T.E.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) class that offers a comprehensive hands-on, high-tech program designed to expose students to the wide range of technologies used in today’s industries. One of the main interests is Robotics. Students are required to participate in the FIRST LEGO League and FIRST Tech Challenge. These are competitive worldwide robotic competitions. In preparation, students volunteer and enjoy field trips to enhance their knowledge of robots.

VEX Robotics Competition Team# 12764V

Each year, an exciting engineering challenge is presented in the form of a game. Students, with guidance from their teachers and mentors, build innovative robots and compete year-round. In addition to learning valuable engineering skills, students gain life skills such as teamwork, perseverance, communication, collaboration, project management, and critical thinking.

Vanston Rookie Robotics After-School

This is an after-school robotics club for 6^th & 7^th graders that begins in the Spring semester. Students participate in off-season competitions. Groups meet once a week for 60-90 minutes. Students participate in team building activities, learn the fundamentals of building and programming robots for fun! Selected members will have the opportunity to participate in the yearly TCEA Robotics Area and FIRST Competitions.
