Beginner Band

Welcome to the Band of Knights! We're so glad to have you in band. Getting an instrument is the next step to take. Read on to find out your options:

OPTION 1 - Come to the Band Instrument Night

📍 AC New Middle School
📅 Monday, August 25
🕔  4:30–6:30 PM (Come and go at any time!)
🚗 Park in the front of the school and enter through the front doors

A local music store will be there to help you:
✅  Learn about rental options (new & used)
✅  No contracts, only month-to-month rental
✅  No payments until school starts in August
✅  All instruments are school approved and includes a repair policy/warranty

OPTION 2 – Search for an Instrument on Your Own

🛑 PLEASE DON’T BUY JUST ANY INSTRUMENT ONLINE!   🛑

You will find competitive prices on Facebook Marketplace and eBay, but search carefully. These instruments may need an unknown amount of repair. They are sold by regular families, not professionals. Additionally, costs of maintenance and repairs will the responsibility of the student (up front and throughout the year).

❌  Avoid buying an instrument on Amazon. These instruments are cheaply made, will break easily, and make learning harder. A low price now means high repair costs later. 

✅  Stick with trusted brands and school-approved instruments – it makes a big difference!

OPTION 3 – Contact a Band Director

⚠️  If renting an instrument is a challenge, don’t worry —there are options! Please reach out to a band director with your concerns. We will find you an instrument for you. We are here to help every student join band!

OPCIÓN 1 – Ven a la Noche de Instrumentos de la Banda

📍  AC New Middle School

(¡Puedes venir a cualquier hora!)
🚗  Estaciona en la parte delantera de la escuela y entra por la puerta principal.

Una tienda de música local estará disponible para ayudarte:
✅ Información sobre opciones de renta (nuevos y usados)
✅ Sin contratos – renta mes a mes
✅ No se requiere pago hasta que comiencen las clases en agosto
✅ Todos los instrumentos están aprobados por la escuela e incluyen póliza de reparación/garantía

OPCIÓN 2 – Busca un Instrumento por Tu Cuenta

🛑 ¡NO COMPRES CUALQUIER INSTRUMENTO EN LÍNEA! 🛑

Puedes encontrar buenos precios en Facebook Marketplace o eBay, pero debes buscar con cuidado. Estos instrumentos pueden necesitar reparaciones costosas. Son vendidos por familias, no por profesionales. Además, el estudiante será responsable de cualquier mantenimiento o reparación.

❌ Evita comprar instrumentos en Amazon. Están mal hechos, se rompen fácilmente y dificultan el aprendizaje. Un precio bajo ahora significa altos costos de reparación más adelante.

✅ Elige marcas confiables y aprobadas por la escuela — ¡hace una gran diferencia!

OPCIÓN 3 – Contacta a un Director de Banda

⚠️ Si rentar un instrumento es difícil para tu familia, ¡no te preocupes! Hay opciones disponibles. Comunícate con un director de banda y encontraremos un instrumento para ti. ¡Queremos que todos los estudiantes tengan la oportunidad de participar en banda!
