Develop a schedule for each day with your student. Set goals for what you hope they will accomplish during the day. Check off the tasks as they are completed. Ask your child at the end of the day to reflect on what they have accomplished. Celebrate the accomplishments and set goals for the coming day. In this way, you are modeling for your child self-management and self-awareness, important social emotional learning skills.
