Using Digital Resources
All students should know how to login to their Google accounts as they do so in school frequently. Students may need a reminder that they need to type their full name with the @melroseschools.com. Usernames should look like this: firstname.lastname@melroseschools.com.

IXL (all courses through Algebra 2)
A digital platform that provides access to practice in each math standard at your child’s grade level. All students can access via their Clever accounts.
Students can practice skills specific to their needs by accessing the Real-Time Diagnostic. By answering questions in the Real-Time Diagnostic, students can pinpoint their current levels of knowledge in math.
As the Real-Time Diagnostic gathers insights, students receive personalized recommendations that help them figure out what actions to take for growth.
i-Ready Online (6th grade only)
i-Ready instruction provides online lessons for your child at their level. Children can move at their own pace through lessons that fit their needs. All students can access via their Clever accounts.
i-Ready At Home (through 8th grade)
Use this link for printable at home activities by grade for both reading and math.
Pearson Realize (all courses through Algebra 2)
Pearson Realize houses the digital text version of our math programs through Algebra 2. All students can access via their Clever accounts. Some students may need to add their Pearson username and password. Ask your child where they left off in math. Sit together to look at the resources.
Khan Academy available for every course! This is a great resource for students to stay current and practice skills that they struggled with in the past. A combination of lessons and practice, students work at their own pace.
MCAS Practice Exams - Students can practice MCAS Math by visiting the state website for practice exams.
College Board -Taking a full-length SAT practice test is one of the best ways to simulate test day. Eight official SAT practice tests are available for free, both online and on paper.
Open Middle - Try an "open middle" problem with your child. These problems allow students to approach a the solution in a variety of ways. See if you can find a different solution than your child! Choose a problem from your grade level, or challenge yourself by leveling up! Hints and solutions are included. Make sure you can explain your answer!
