Previously accepting articles only from MEF University students, MJIP will begin accepting submissions from undergraduate students throughout Türkiye (Turkey) and abroad starting in the 2025-26 academic year. All undergraduate students working in the fields of political science, international relations, and economics are invited to contribute to MJIP.
Empirical academic studies based on data collection and analysis.
Clearly state hypotheses and methodologies, if applicable.
Report findings objectively and systematically.
Discuss results in relation to existing literature and highlight the study’s contributions.
References and citations must adhere to APA 7th edition style.
These articles form the core scientific content of the journal.
Comprehensive and critical reviews of existing academic work on a specific topic or field.
Policy analyses evaluate current or historical policy issues, providing critical assessment and recommendations.
Clarify research questions, identify gaps or debates in the literature, and draw conclusions relevant to policy.
Cite sources according to APA 7th edition.
Critical evaluations of published works with academic or political significance.
Summarize main arguments, discuss methodology and contributions, and note strengths and weaknesses.
Use APA 7th edition style for book references.
Language: English (American English spelling and punctuation).
Font: Times New Roman, 12 pt.
Line Spacing: 1.5 lines.
Alignment: Justified (both left and right).
Headings: Bold and italicized; use title case.
In-text citations and references: Follow APA 7th edition (author, year) format.
Originality: Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.

Title: Times New Roman, 20 pt, uppercase, centered, max 65 characters (including spaces).
Abstract: Times New Roman, 12 pt, italicized, justified, 100–120 words. Should succinctly present the study’s aim, method, key findings, and conclusion.
Author Name: Times New Roman, 18 pt, bold, centered. Include a short biography as a footnote marked with an asterisk (*) at the bottom of the page.
Use American English spelling and punctuation consistently throughout the manuscript.
Spell out numbers from one to ten; use numerals for 11 and above, except for dates, times, and measurements (always use numerals).
Write dates in the format: day month year (e.g., 4 July 2025), with the month spelled out and capitalized.
Use double quotation marks for short quotations (under 40 words); use single quotation marks for quotes within quotes.
For long quotations (40 words or more), use a block quote format: indented 1.27 cm, no quotation marks, with page number in parentheses at the end.
Define abbreviations upon first use by writing the full term followed by the abbreviation in parentheses; use only the abbreviation thereafter.
Limit the number of figures and tables; avoid color graphics. Use black-and-white or grayscale only.
Provide descriptive titles and source information for all figures and tables, and refer to them appropriately in the text.
