The MEF Journal of International Politics (MJIP) is an interdisciplinary undergraduate academic journal publishing work in political science, international relations, economics, and related fields.
MJIP is student-led and academically supervised. It aims to support high-quality undergraduate research, clear argumentation, and accessible academic publishing.
Beginning with the 2025–26 academic year, MJIP accepts submissions from undergraduate students in Türkiye and abroad.
Submissions must be original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere.
MJIP accepts the following manuscript types:
Research Articles: 3,000–5,000 words
Literature Reviews and Policy Analyses: 2,000–4,000 words
Book Reviews: 800–1,200 words
MJIP welcomes submissions in political science, international relations, economics, and related fields, including but not limited to:
Political economy
Public policy
Comparative politics
International security
European studies
Global governance
Foreign policy analysis
International political economy
MJIP publishes two issues annually:
Fall Issue: published at the end of December
Spring Issue: published at the end of June

The typical review period is 2–4 weeks, with an additional 1–2 weeks for revisions where necessary.
MJIP follows an editorial review process under academic supervision. Submitted articles are evaluated by the Editorial Board and, when necessary, reviewed with the support of the Academic Advisor or the Academic Council.
Yes. All submitted articles are subject to plagiarism screening. Articles containing significant similarity issues, uncredited material, or improper citation practices are rejected.
Authors may use AI-assisted tools for language editing, brainstorming, outlining, or formatting support.
However, authors remain fully responsible for the originality, accuracy, argumentation, citations, and academic integrity of their work. Any substantial use of AI-assisted tools should be disclosed at the time of submission.
MJIP Compass is MJIP’s public-facing platform for accessible commentary and analysis on international politics, economics, and global affairs.
While MJIP publishes formal academic work, Compass publishes short-form content such as explainers, current affairs analysis, reading notes, and historically informed commentary.
