About MJIP
MJIP is an interdisciplinary journal dedicated to creating a serious and accessible platform for undergraduate academic work. The journal welcomes original contributions in political science, international relations, and economics, and aims to foster careful research, clear argumentation, and intellectual curiosity.
Published twice a year, MJIP combines academic rigor with editorial accessibility. In addition to peer-reviewed and research-based content, the journal serves as a space where emerging scholars can engage with contemporary political and economic issues in a structured academic format.

MJIP Volume 4, Issue 1: Trade Wars
The latest issue of MJIP examines the political and economic dynamics of trade conflicts in the contemporary international system. Bringing together undergraduate research and analytical writing, this issue reflects the journal’s commitment to timely, interdisciplinary scholarship.
Call for Submissions
Beginning with the 2025–26 academic year, MJIP welcomes submissions from undergraduate students in Türkiye and abroad. We invite manuscripts in the fields of political science, international relations, and economics.
Accepted submission types:
Research Articles: 3,000–5,000 words
Literature Reviews and Policy Analyses: 2,000–4,000 words
Book Reviews: 800–1,200 words
All submissions must be in English and prepared in accordance with the journal’s formatting and citation guidelines.

Dear MJIP Community,
Welcome to a new academic year at the MEF Journal of International Politics. As MJIP continues to grow, our goal is to strengthen the journal as a student-led academic platform that supports high-quality undergraduate work in political science, international relations, and economics.
This new period marks an important step for MJIP. Alongside the journal’s continued development, we are expanding our reach by welcoming undergraduate submissions from Türkiye and abroad and by launching MJIP Compass, our new public-facing platform for accessible commentary and analysis.
We are grateful to all students, faculty members, alumni, and readers who support this project and contribute to its growth.

Introducing MJIP Compass
MJIP Compass is the public-facing platform of the MEF Journal of International Politics. While MJIP publishes formal academic work, MJIP Compass offers short-form, accessible content on international politics, economics, and global affairs for a broader audience.
Through categories such as Explainer, In Focus, Reading Room, and Then & Now, Compass aims to explain current developments clearly, concisely, and without unnecessary academic jargon.
