What is my Dictation Code?
If you have previously been assigned a "P number" (at ANY time in the past, while rotating through SJH), then this remains your dictation number.
This applies if you were EVER a Medical Student or a Resident at SJH, even if on elective, and even if your rotation occurred many years ago.
If you forget your "P number", please contact Transcription directly for assistance in figuring it out. Their extension is x33822.
If this does not apply to you, then you will have a new "Dovetale" dictation number. Please see below for your next steps.
How to Find Dictation Codes in Dovetale:
Log into Dovetale
Click on the Epic button (top left corner) --> Help --> Session Information Report
Look within the Login information section --> Linked Provider
The number listed beside "Linked Provider" is the Dictation Code for NEW providers (i.e. those who have not rotated through SJH in the past).
In the example images to the right, Dr. McLeod's number (not active) is 10007498
