Outpatient Clinics may be offered on an ad hoc basis during your rotation. Please ask your Attending for more details.
These clinics allow you work with other Attending Physicians at our site, and are intended to supplement the inpatient consultation service, where the majority of your learning will occur for this rotation.
"OPD" refers to the Outpatient Department, which is on the first floor of the Fontbonne Building, past the Tim Horton's.
"5FB" refers to the Medicine Outpatient Clinics area, on the 5th floor of the Fontbonne Building. Elevators are directly opposite to the Tim Horton's.
"NP" refers to "new patient" - there will be ONE new consult for you to see. We will ensure that you are finished in time to leave for your Academic Half Days, etc.
Please let me know if there are any conflicts or issues with this aspect of the schedule. (And please note that changes are often made over the course of the rotation, to account for no-shows, etc.)
