Growth Conversations
Looking for a bite-sized glimpse into the process? Take a look at the steps below for a snapshot of the Workday track.
Your Growth Conversation can be launched by heading to the My Performance dashboard.
The My Performance dashboard can be accessed by clicking on the Menu on the top-left of the screen on the homepage. Under “Apps,” click “My Performance.”
Then, you can select “Start My Performance Review” on the far-right to begin your Growth Conversation
Once “Start My Performance Review” has been initiated, you will be asked to complete 3 fields:
Review Template: there is only one option available – QGCs. Select this option.
Period Start Date: this is the first day of the quarter you are preparing your goals for.
Period End Date: this is the last day of the quarter you are preparing your goals for.
For convenience, we’ve added the start and end dates for each quarter in the instructions.
Once these fields are complete, click “Submit”. This will then take you to a page with more information on the process and its components. Click “Get Started” to begin your Growth Conversation!
First step is to reflect on the past three months and dive deep into your thoughts with these three captivating questions:
🌟 What are your long-term career aspirations? Dream big!
🌟 What's going exceptionally well for you at this moment? Celebrate your wins!
🌟 How can you make it even more remarkable? Unleash your potential!
Once you're done click "Next" to embark on the next thrilling phase of your journey towards growth!
Note: you can always select “Save for Later” to continue editing at a later time. Once you’re ready to continue where you left off, the action will be in your Workday Inbox (top-right corner).
Now, it's time to seek valuable feedback from your esteemed heroes and critics by asking:
🌟 "What has been working well over the last 3 months?"
🌟 "What could make it even better?"
By fearlessly venturing into this feedback realm, you'll unlock a treasure trove of growth opportunities.
Navigate your way over to the "My Performance" dashboard on your Workday profile. Select "Feedback Given" then click on "Get Feedback".
This is where you can effortlessly request feedback from your talented colleagues. Need more guidance? Delve into these Workday Resource Guides for a treasure trove of wisdom!
Looking to see who you sent a feedback request to?
Simply log in to Workday, go to your Profile > select Job > select Worker History and you’ll be able to see who is yet to complete their feedback on you. You can follow up with these people on slack or email.
Did you gather feedback outside the realms of Workday?
Fear not! Simply add it to the Comments section, ensuring its seamless integration into your Growth Conversation with your manager.
Feel the power of flexibility! Should you desire to revise your Individual Reflection after embracing the wisdom of feedback, simply select the "Back" option. Otherwise, embark on the next chapter of your journey by selecting the captivating "Next" button.
Ready to seal the deal? Once you've poured your thoughts and feedback into the Individual Reflection and Feedback sections, click the mighty "Submit" button.
But beware! Once you do this, there's no turning back to make edits in these sections. Proceed with confidence and embrace the power of your final submission!
The third step of the Conversation is all about goal setting! Channel your inner superhero and prioritize your ambitions by crafting three goals to conquer over the next three months. Here's our recommended formula for success:
🎯 Two business contribution goals: Identify the actions that will unleash your superpowers, making a significant impact on your current projects while propelling you towards your long-term career aspirations.
🌱 One personal growth goal: Embrace your journey of personal development and choose the path that will transform how you show up, unleashing your full potential and unlocking new levels of greatness.
Once you've crafted your goals and feel the surge of excitement, unleash their power by clicking "Submit."

It's time for the grand finale of Growth Conversations: the Conversation with your Manager!
Prepare for an engaging and productive discussion that will shape your future success.
To guide you along this path, we've created a Growth Chat Preparation guide, to help you structure your conversation like a pro!
A few important points to keep in mind:
1. 🚫 Do not submit this step until you have had the conversation with your manager. Submitting this step signifies your formal acknowledgment that the conversation has taken place.
2. If you haven't had the conversation yet, select "Save for Later" to keep this task in your Workday inbox until you're ready to meet with your manager.
3. Once you reach this step, your manager will be notified (via Workday and email) that you are ready for your Growth Conversation. They will be on the lookout for a meeting invitation from you and will prepare accordingly.
Once you and your manager have had your Growth Conversation, it's time to wrap up the process by selecting "Submit."
Remember, if any adjustments or refinements are needed for your goals, you can easily make them in Workday.
