C10 - ALAQUÀS

The Virtual Activity C10 has been organised by the Spanish School (Mare de Déu de l'Olivar II). It was a 3-day Virtual Meeting (26-28th October 2021), in which the students and teachers from the four schools worked together in the process of creating the videos of the different scenes which will be part of the final performance video show. An expert on drama and circus was hired by the Spanish school to coach the four schools during the process of rehearsing and filming the different scenes before, during and after the virtual activity.

We worked together using Google Meet for the online Video Conferences. We used links for the general connections and the individual connections of the expert (Koldovica G. Vio Domínguez) and the different schools. Each day was organised in a similar way:

- A general connection from 8.00 till 9.00 to welcome participants and introduce the work of the day. Use of Mentimeter to motivate students and check their feelings.

- Individual connections with the expert and each school from 9.00 until 12.15 to check progress whie the rest of schools rehearse their scenes. The last day all the scenes were filmed.

- A general connection until 14.00 to check progress, see the presentations made by the Spanish students (My School, My Town, My Region and My Country) in order to show the partner schools information, photos and cultural information. Conclusions and proposals for the next day.

The last day all the videos were uploaded to the Google Drive folder of the project and were shown to all the schools.

Students and teachers counted with the help of an expert, who coached us before, during and after the Virtual Activity. He had the role of a director and had a general overview of the different scenes. He helped the four schools chosing the music, the clothes, the rehearsing process of some common scenes, the use of lights, emotions and different magic and circus techniques.

This Virtual Activity was benefitial for all the schools because we had the chance to work online together, advance simultaneously and film the scenes which will be part of the final video performance, which will be edited during November and December. The last Virtual activity (C11) will be organised by Europaschule Herzogenrath.
