The students are encouraged to acquire competences and skills not only in formal environment at school, but also informally by participating in various national and international projects, peer group discussions and volunteering activities. This way, students feel more confident and motivated and are more likely to be successful in the future. Finally, Kaunas “Saules” gymnasium is the school which combines deep traditions with modern world innovations and encourages creativity and development in the process of education.
Every three years our gymnasium sets strategic goals to improve its performance as an educational institution and students' as well as staff's achievements. The key objective for the 2019- 2021 years is to develop a model of a safe school assuring equal opportunities and friendly socioemotional environment for students. To achieve this, there is a number of projects and activities taking place in gymnasium, one of which is Erasmus+ project "Circus of Emotions". Participation in this project not only will help students to improve socioemotional skills, but also will develop international collaboration and communication opportunities for both students and staff.
