Let me start by saying how terrified I am right now.
The brain in general fascinates me, I thought and brainstormed a lot of various ideas but got no where.
Mother Nature and Earth are one of the most important things in our lives, we need to learn about her and how to take care of her and positively benefit from her
Taking care of my body is a challenge of mine and it's something I strive to do.
I fell in love with archery a few years ago and I can't shake it now, I thought of doing something more with my favorite hobby.
I love helping people. With all the catastrophes that have happened lately, I wanted to help contribute more to society.
Being completely honest, like most of the folks I talked with about the Ball, I had no clue this thing existed. Like most things on the Island, I am usually left in the dark. But it was a real learning experience the whole way.
Fireman Planners!
For the 60th annual ball, the committee decided that the Ball would take place at the Bar Harbor fire house!!!
How weird is that?
Starting out, confused, scared yet determined. I am probably the worst kind of planner there is, I had no idea where to begin.
I didn't really have a clue what I was doing from start to finish. I was just grabbing puzzle pieces left and right, thinking it was a 50 piece set but really it was 500 pieces.
Once I got my mentors, the rest fell to place.
There was a mishap or two with the meetings I had attempted to set up. There was a miscommunication with me and Debbie Dyer from the Historical Society in Bar Harbor. I ended up sitting outside the historical society in the cold in late March, for a little over and hour. I had spaced on giving my contact information, something had come up and she couldn't make it. I got pretty sick and missed a few days of school after this.
But the rest of that night went well! I obtained plenty of hard copy documents and information from various sources. I wanna thank all of those who could join me for this presentation.
I came to an abrupt stop in my presentation with just about a month left to work on it. All this information and no where to display it all! I was a little stumped on where to go, but alas Mrs. Mac came to my rescue, livening up the battle. She helped me kick start my website, and help add to the modernized aspect of my presentation. She is a good motivator, she made me do a lot of things that I really didn't want to do but it had helped my presentation become what it is now. Thank you so much.
I want to say thank you to Mrs. Dillon for advertising the Ball and what Bob was interested in. I can not thank my mentors enough for everything they've helped me with.
Mrs. Dillon helped set up my first meeting with Bob and Bill. Bob was so excited with a student having an interest. We went over basics the first meeting and we've been juggling vacation and time outside of school and work. I know I have a busy schedule like most of us.
This whole project has been a roller coaster for me, exciting yet terrifying.
Please Enjoy.
