Defending champions Blacklist International (BLCK) of Tier One Entertainment grabbed the Season 8 Championship after defeating ONIC Philippines. The bout took place on October 24, 2021, where Blacklist International came out on top with a series score of 4-1.

With the addition of the former Omega Esports Philippines (OMG) pro player, Hadji, known as the “KDA Machine,” BLCK finished the regular season as the top seed with an outstanding series record of 13 wins and only one defeat, claiming an upper bracket spot along with the ONIC Philippines.

Although their road to triumph was not all rainbows and unicorns, in the last bout of the MPL Season 8, Blacklist International from the lower bracket faced the only team that decoded and defeated them in the regular season, ONIC Philippines. The battle was predicted to be legendary. However, BLCK had some other plans. They ignited the code and dominated ONIC Philippines to win the championship, with the series ending with a 4-1 dominant score.

Blacklist International fulfilled their promise to their fans, management, and Hadji to bring home the championship again. Hadji was voted as the Finals Most Valuable Player (FMVP) due to his performance in the Finals. The outstanding drafting of Coach Bon Chan and the commanding leadership and shot-calling of Johnmar “Ohmyv33nus” Villaluna are the reasons why BLCK is formidable and a team to beat. As per the words of Leo, an MPL caster, “There’s no breaking the code.”

They will also represent the Philippines in the upcoming M3 World Championship, the world's largest Mobile Legends: Bang Bang tournament, alongside first-runner-up ONIC PH.
