On October 19, 2022, the MCS personnel and staff gathered at the Malate Catholic School High School campus for the blessing of the facilities and mass presided over by Fr. Elpidio Biliran Jr. and Fr. Solomon Jardinero in preparation for the rollout of limited face-to-face classes on Monday, October 24.

Blessing of the facilities

The juncture started with a deliverance prayer led by Fr. Solomon Jardinero. The blessing of the water and salt then took place.

After the prayer, Fr. Sol and Fr. Boy, along with the MCS personnel, went around the campus to bless each classroom, office, laboratory, and other facilities.

Eucharistic Celebration

A mass was held shortly after the prayer and blessing of the facilities.

Homily

Fr. Boy mentioned being faithful in whatever one is doing to be ready when the Lord comes, as He will reward people based on the work they have done.

More than positions, Fr. Boy reminded everyone that Jesus is speaking more about the responsibilities of each person—if they are doing it well and doing it out of charity and love.

“Whatever we do, do it well. If we do it well, we do what is more than asked, and we are doing it with love, the Lord will reward us according to the work we have done,” Fr. Boy stated. Preparing for the coming of the Lord should be with being charitable or doing more than what one is responsible for, aside from hope and faithfulness.

Rite of Commissioning

The Rite of Commissioning followed the post-communion. It is to renew the commitment of the MCS faculty and staff to serving the Church through Catholic Education in the upcoming face-to-face classes.
