THE CELEBRATION OF THE ROSARY MONTH'S CULMINATION

"Like ordinary children, we go to Mary because we know that as a mother, she will listen to us. She understands our pains and sufferings, she knows our joys, and she's willing to journey with us." - Ms. Andrea Bisuelan

On October 28, 2022, Cluster 8 Schools held the culmination of the Rosary Month through a Living Rosary to show devotion to Mary. It was live-streamed through the Cluster 8's Facebook page at 8 a.m.

Brief Introduction

The celebration started with a brief introduction about the devotion of the Philippines to Mary. Ms. Andrea Bisuelan said that the Philippines is known as "El Pueblo Amante de Maria.” (A nation deeply in love with Mary.)

Ms. Bisuelan also shared the different titles that Filipinos give to Mary, such as "Ina," "Apo Baket," "Apo Caridad," "Nuestra Señora De Los Remedios,"  and “Nuestra Señora de Guia.”

At the end of Ms. Bisuelan's introduction, she invited the students and personnel to journey together in communion, participation, and mission.

It was followed shortly by an opening song, "Awit Sa Ina ng Santo Rosaryo." After every mystery, there was a representative who answered questions regarding the Church.

Gaano ko naramdaman ang presensya ng simbahan sa hanay ng aming sektor? (How much do I feel the presence of the Church in the line of our sector?)

A vendor that sells by the side of the Church gave her insight, in which she answered, “Naririnig ko araw araw ang pagmimisa ng pari, at ito ang aking naging gabay sa aking buhay.” (I hear the mass of the priests every day, and it served as the guide in my life.)

Nagpapasalamat ako sa Simbahan dahil… (I am thankful for the Church because…)

Mr. Harold Ferrer answered by saying that he is thankful “...sa mga panalangin, ng mga salita ng Diyos, at higit sa lahat, hindi kami dinadapuan ng malubhang sakit at nakakaraos araw-araw” (...for the prayers, the Words of God, and most of all, we do not get struck with grave sickness and we get by everyday.)

Paano mo nararanasan ang pag-akay at paggabay sa'yo ni Maria patungo sa Panginoong Hesukristo? (How do you experience Mary’s lead and guidance toward Jesus Christ?)

Margarette Yadao explained, “Whenever I pray the rosary, ramdam ko ang presence and guidance ni Mama Mary since, through her, we extend our prayers to Jesus.” (Whenever I pray the rosary, I feel the presence and guidance of Mother Mary since, through her, we extend our prayers to Jesus.)

Mr. Frankmar Cabeltis delivered the closing remarks and talked about His Holiness Pope Francis’ call to become a Synodal Church. He explained that the Synodal Church is a “Church that journeys and listens to the concerns of modern men. A Church who responds to the signs of the time through genuine dialogue with all sectors or society.”

Mr. Cabeltis expressed his wishes for the Cluster 8 community to continue praying with Mary and expressed his gratitude for the cluster’s active participation.
