Grade 6 Graduation

At approximately 8:00 AM, June 7, 2023, Wednesday, the graduation program for the Grade 6 graduating class formally commenced, which was marked by the processional of graduates, as well as the personnel and administrators. Ms. Ma. Angelica Millendez hosted the event.


The first part of the event included the assembly where additional announcements and reminders were given. This was then followed by the invocation led by the MCS Glee Club, then the Entrance of Colors by the Malatean BSP and GSP, accompanied by the singing of the National Anthem by the MCS Glee Club.


Ms. Jill Caylene C. Mortel, with high honors, gave the welcome address. This was then followed by the presentation of candidates for graduation by the school principal, Ms. Marilou M. Lunar. The Grade 6 candidates for graduation were then confirmed by the school director, Rev. Fr. Elpidio Biliran D. Jr. The graduates were then awarded their diplomas, medals, and certificates.


On behalf of the Grade 6 graduates, Ms. Althea Dionna L. Zhou, with high honors, gave the word of thanks. This was followed by the singing of the graduation song, “Thank You Once Again,” and the MCS hymn. The ceremony was closed by a prayer led by Erica Shirene V. Sebastian, with high honors, followed by the exit of colors and the recessional of the graduates.

Grade 12 Graduation

The following day, June 8, 2023, Thursday, was allotted for the graduation ceremony of the Grade 12 senior high school graduating class. At about 8:00 AM, the graduation ceremony commenced with Ms. Jizelle Naval hosting. This beginning was once again marked by the processional of graduates, personnel, and administrators.


In formally opening the event, the doxology was led by the MCS Glee Club, followed by the Entrance of Colors by the Malatean Scouts of the Philippines, then the singing of the National Anthem led by the MCS Glee Club once again.



The welcome address was given by Ms. Zamanttha Zyrah V. Sahidulla, with high honors. It was followed by the presentation of graduates by the school principal, Ms. Marilou M. Lunar, and the confirmation of graduates by the school director, Rev. Fr. Elpidio Biliran D. Jr. After, the awarding of diplomas, certificates, and medals by the class advisers began. 


Furthermore, in acknowledgment of the graduates’ newly acquired titles as school alumni, Mr. Alford Sena, President of the AAMCSI, led the senior graduates’ induction to the Alumni Association of Malate Catholic School, Inc. Which was then followed by their pledge of loyalty led by the outgoing SCB President, with high honors, and this year's recipient of the PTAC Leadership Award, Ms. Lara Jessica V. Alvarez.


As the representative of the 2022-2023 senior graduating class, Ms. Monzam Wang, with high honors, outgoing Editor-in-Chief of the Clarionette, and this year's recipient of the PTAC Academic Excellence Award, provided the words of gratitude. This speech was then followed by the graduates singing their graduation song, “Like an Eagle,” as well as the MCS Hymn. This momentous occasion was formally closed through a prayer led by Mr. Hanz Andrei S. Delos Santos, With Honors, the exit of colors, and the recessional of the graduates.

Upon ending these events, photo opportunities as a class were done after the ceremony, marking the end of their memorable journey with Malate Catholic School.
