How long must we suffer

Serving this godforsaken paradise?

Where the rich have leisure in their fancy chairs

While we act like dogs serving them well

The struggles we have put up for our nation

Have cost us our dignity and integrity as a person

For someone as impoverished as the rest of us

Will be left to sink in mud or left to dust

We stay silent as the night

As the rich delight themselves over our labor

Through the stormy days we endure just to profit

means nothing for it only enters the bellies of the privileged

For far too long we cried and howled

Praying that we will be able to reach out

We have always wished to soar the sky like an eagle

But all is worthless when you are penniless.
