Wootton recognizes that students' math maturity/skills develop at different rates. If a student struggles in an honors class, they may drop to an on-level class to master the material and regain confidence. If a student excels in the on-level class, they may request to move back to an honors class the following semester.
Yes. If a student is excelling in an on-level class, they may request a move to an honors class. Students who earn an A for a semester in an on-level class should consider moving to an honors class the following semester. Parents and students should contact their counselors if they are considering this move.
