No, you do not! Each of our PE classes counts as a semester of PE. You can mix and match classes to obtain the 1 credit of PE. This is great for students who have multiple interests in a variety of courses we offer.
Yes! The Health A curriculum is written for students who have completed their 8th grade year and is needed by all students to graduate an MCPS high school. We suggest students take Health A as 9th or 10th graders. Health A is the prerequisite for Health B.
Students graduating in the Class of 2025 and later need 1.0 credit of Health to graduate. Health B is the 2nd health course required and can be taken in 10th or 11th grade.
