Welcome to senior year! This is a big and exciting time as you begin planning for life after high school, whether that means college, career, military service, or another path. The College & Career Center is here to support you every step of the way.

This year, take advantage of college rep visits, scholarship opportunities, essay and resume help, job resources, and more. Be sure to check Naviance, listen to announcements, and schedule time to meet with me for personalized support. Start early, stay organized, and remember, you don’t have to navigate this journey alone.

• Senior Parent Checklist -- Here’s a helpful checklist to guide your student through their high school years to prepare them for college.

• RMHS Senior Packet -- Comprehensive guide and toolkit designed to help seniors and their families to navigate the critical steps of senior year, especially around college and post-secondary planning.

• Transcript Request Form -- Complete the online Google form for each college or program, and the counseling office sends your transcript on your behalf.

• RMHS Brag Sheet -- A brag sheet is a tool that highlights your achievements and strengths so teachers and counselors can write stronger recommendation letters.

• Parent Input for Student Recommendations -- Parents share insights that can help counselors and teachers write more personal and meaningful recommendation letters.

• Early Decision or Early Action -- Get answers to the most common questions and make sure you understand the limitations and the financial implications. ED/EA deadlines fall as early as October 15th.

• College Essay Guide -- Do you identify as undocumented or as a member of the LGBTQ+ community? If you're uncertain about how much to share in your personal statement, these guides may assist you in organizing your thoughts and content.
