My name is Nicole O'Malley and I will be the 8th grade counselor (last names A-S) for the 2025-26 school year.  This will be my 12th year as a school counselor and 4th year at RHMS. I have previously worked at several other MCPS schools.

I was born and raised outside of Philadelphia, PA. I received my Bachelor's degree in psychology from Temple University, in Philadelphia. I received my Master's degree in School Counseling from Loyola University Maryland. Most of my time is spent with my husband, three sons, and our puppy.  We love to travel and explore new areas. I also enjoy running and have completed five half- marathons.

As a school counselor, I am here to support the whole student. The middle school years are integral to social emotional development. I enjoy supporting students through that growth, while helping them understand the type of learner that they are.
