Seneca Valley High School Special Programs information: 

Information on how Rising 9th graders outside of the Seneca Valley High School boundary can attend SVHS for one of our 5 Regional Programs. SVHS’ Regional Programs are application based and are invited via lottery.  Students can apply to multiple programs, but will only be able to accept one program if invited to multiple ones.

The 5 Programs that they can apply for to come to attend SVHS are:

1. Construction Management and Architecture

2. Healthcare Professions

3. Hospitality and Tourism Program

4. IT/Cybersecurity

5. Project Lead the Way Engineering

The students apply through their ParentVue accounts.  More information on the process can be found at MCPS Special Programs website under “Grade 8” (https://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/curriculum/specialprograms/high/). The applications will open up on October 7, 2024 and close on Friday November 1, 2024.

APPS Program at Clarksburg HS

September 26th - the APPS application opens

November 1st- the APPS application closes

December 15th- teacher recommendations and counseling information is due

January 10th- decision letters are emailed
