Hello Wildcats!
My name is Annette Golub and I am the 7th grade counselor for students whose last names begin with N-Z. This is my first year working in MCPS. I'm very excited to join the Rocky Hill community and I look forward to meeting and getting to know you.
I am a proud graduate of James Madison University (Go Dukes!) where I earned my Bachelors of Business Administration. After many years working in the marketing industry, I stepped away to focus on our family and during that time spent several years volunteering in the local elementary school. It was through this experience that I found my passion for counseling and decided to pursue a new career. I recently completed my Masters in Education - School Counseling at St. Bonaventure University where I graduated as a member of the honor society, Chi Sigma Iota.
I was born in Boston, Massachusetts where I lived in a small coastal town until moving south for college. I am a huge Boston sports fan and love returning to the city and the New England beaches whenever I can. My time outside of work is spent mostly with my family. Together with my husband of almost 20 years we are raising three boys who are in 11th, 8th, and 5th grade. As a family we enjoy hiking with our dog, traveling, and playing games together. I also enjoy podcasts, baking, and any excuse to visit the beach!
My role as a counselor involves supporting our students, their families, and our staff. I am here to provide a non-judgmental space to navigate the ups and downs of middle school, and to remind everyone that nobody has to do it alone. My office hours are Monday 7:45 - 3:15, Tuesday and Thursday 8:15 - 2:15. I look forward to meeting everyone.
