Any student or staff member who feels ill and has the following symptoms should remain home:
Fever of 100.4 or higher
Sore Throat
Cough
Difficulty Breathing
Diarrhea
Vomiting
Loss of taste and/or smell
Please email Ms. Erica Moorman, our attendance secretary, to let her know your child will be absent due to illness. In the email, please include:
Your Child’s Name
Your Child’s MCPS ID number
Your name
Your contact phone number
Please keep your child home until their symptoms improve and they are fever free for 24 hours without fever reduction medications.
If your child will be absent for more than two days, please email your child’s counselor to let them know when your child may be back. The counselor will inform your child’s teachers and respond if you have questions.
Students, who feel well enough, may log into their CANVAS class pages to access missed instruction and assignments which can be turned in online.
Students who do not feel well enough to access CANVAS class pages should talk to their teachers when they return to coordinate a makeup plan.
Students who need additional support can also reach out to their school counselor.
