Specials and Instrumental Music
Fifth Graders attend 3 specials weekly: art, music, and PE. They also go to the media center for lessons and book exchange every other week.
Fox Chapel offers different levels of instrumental music. Fifth graders are enrolled in all three levels, beginner (1st year), advanced (2nd year), and advanced 2 (2+ years).
Classes for all levels are here at Fox Chapel throughout the day Thursday and Friday as well as Monday morning.
Many years, all fifth graders have the opportunity to join chorus with Mrs. Griffith. Chorus meets for 40 minutes, once a week, and is not graded. However, students in the Fox Chapel chorus have the opportunity to audition for the county's Honors Chorus. There will be a chorus concert in winter and spring.
