High Sierra Pools is hiring lifeguards (ages 15+) in the Kensington area and offering American Red Cross Lifeguarding Certification courses.

American Pools Lifeguarding

Message from American Pool recruiter:

“American Pool is a company that provides custom swimming pool management and maintenance services for clubs, hotels, apartments and homeowner associations throughout the Maryland, Virginia and Washington DC regions.

Each of our employees will go through one of our training classes to become lifeguard/first aid/CPR and AED certified. This is a seasonal job which is perfect for high school and college students. It is a fun first job that also teaches our employees responsibility and communication skills while maintaining a clean and safe swimming pool environment. We have some indoor part time positions available immediately as well roles for anyone interested in starting sooner than May 2026.

Even though it's earlier in the season, we offer extremely discounted lifeguard certification classes at this time of year and we would like to be able to offer this to all students interested.”

Students interested in applying to TeenWorks may complete the application on NEOGOV here. Additionally, they will also need to sign up to attend an information session to learn more about the TeenWorks Employment Program. The information sessions may be found on the ActiveMontgomery website here. Once both of those steps have been completed, they will be eligible to interview, and we will then offer them interview dates.
