Message from Program Director of Tech Road Rx Academy, an online pharmacy technician training school:
"We’re hosting a free virtual info session for teens and young adults interested in healthcare careers. The session, A Day in the Life of a Pharmacy Technician, offers a realistic look at clinical pharmacy work and the growing demand for pharmacy technicians in Maryland.
Did you know Maryland is projected to add over 1,600 pharmacy technician jobs in the next few years? It’s one of the strongest entry-level healthcare careers where students can become certified and start working right after high school. The certification is transferable and can be used as a steppingstone into other healthcare pathways such as nursing, medicine, pharmacy, and more.
Students will also have the chance to ask questions directly to a licensed pharmacist and a certified pharmacy technician during the session."
