PSAT Day in School

FREE PSAT & SENIOR SAT SCHOOL DAY - OCTOBER 13

Montgomery County Public Schools

Free PSAT to All Grade 10 and 11 Students

Senior SAT School Day for Seniors Who Did Not Take SAT in Spring 2021

As part of a comprehensive strategy to ensure access and opportunity for all students, Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) provides important college readiness examinations to all students. This includes the PSAT during the school day for Grade 10 and 11 students and SAT School Day for Grade 12 students. Not only does this approach allow greater access to these important examinations, but it supports efforts to remove barriers associated with college entrance examinations and ensures equitable access to these important steps to college and career readiness.

As a result, MCPS will offer the following assessments in 2021–2022:

  • The PSAT during the school day on October 13, 2021, at no cost to any Grade 10 or 11 student. All students in grades 10 and 11 will be registered automatically. There is no action required by students or parents.

  • The SAT during the school day on October 13, 2021, at no cost for any current senior (Grade 12 students) who did not take the SAT in spring 2021.

  • Seniors who took the in-school SAT in April 2021 may take the SAT on October 13 for a registration fee of $55 (a limited number of fee waivers are available).
