The College and Career Center is open during the school year and throughout the summer.  During the school year, students and their parents can meet with Mrs. Heald before school, during lunch or after school with an appointment to discuss the college process/search, testing, jobs, financial aid, scholarships, summer programs or other college and career related topics.  Call or email Mrs. Heald to make an appointment.  All students, 9th through 12th grade are encouraged to begin planning for life after high school in 9th grade by utilizing the Montgomery County Public Schools ((MCPS) Four Year Plan.  Each student is on their own journey and our job is to help students discover and prepare for their unique life, education and career path - from early childhood to adulthood.

My summer hours vary so please email me to check my availability.

College Tracks

College Tracks - In addition to the support I provide, BCC is lucky to also have the support of College Tracks. Figuring out which colleges are a good fit, how to apply to them, and how to pay for it all can be overwhelming. CollegeTracks helps students manage the challenges of a postsecondary education experience so they thrive, graduate and find a path that allows them to achieve independence, support families and give back to the community. CollegeTracks staff members work full-time in five Montgomery County, MD high schools: Bethesda-Chevy Chase, Paint Branch, Quince Orchard, Watkins Mill, and Wheaton, where they serve juniors and seniors, typically first generation college students.

Class of 2024

Admissions Rep Visits - Each year the College and Career Center hosts college reps from around the globe to visit with B-CC students.  These visits are held during class time and during lunch and we host three to four visits per day.  Teachers MUST approve your absence for you to attend these rep visits. To sign up for a rep visit, log in to your Naviance account, and on the homepage scroll halfway down to "What's New".  Here is where you will see all the schools that are visiting.  If there is a school that you are interested in, click on more info. and click REGISTER.  This registration will be your "pass" to show and get approval from your teacher.  All in-person events, unless otherwise noted, will be held in the Career Center located in counseling. As always, please email me if you have any questions.
