Children of Warriors National Presidents' Scholarship
It is important to acknowledge the sacrifices of our servicemembers who preserve our freedom, but that is not enough. The sacrifices of the children of those who served should also be honored. Providing funds to assist these children so they can pursue higher education is a concrete way of showing how much we, as a nation, care.
The American Legion Auxiliary sponsors the Children of Warriors National Presidents' Scholarship to support the children of our warriors. These scholarships are awarded to 15 students annually who excel in academics and volunteer in their communities.
Three scholarships, in the amount of $5,000 each, will be awarded for 2026 to students in the SOUTHERN DIVISION - Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Puerto Rico, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia. All are gift scholarships, not loans.

The Gloria Wille Bell and Carols R Bell Scholarship Program for the University of Michigan
Bell Scholarships are merit-based scholarships intended to enhance recruitment efforts for academically talented students pursuing undergraduate science-related degrees. Eligible students must hold a 3.0 GPA, live in VA, with a preference given to residents of Gloucester, Virginia. be accepted at University of Michigan, and plan to pursue an undergraduate degree in engineering, mathematics, physics, computer science or another related scientific field.

USDA 1890 National Scholars Program
The USDA 1890 National Scholars Program was established in 1992 as part of the partnership between USDA and the 1890 land-grant universities. The USDA 1890 National Scholars Program offers scholarships to U.S. citizens who are seeking a bachelor’s degree at one of the nineteen 1890 Land-Grant Universities in the fields of food, agriculture, natural resource sciences or other related disciplines.
The 1890 National Scholars Program provides full tuition, fees, books, room and board, and a summer internship which may convert to full-time employment with USDA after graduation. High school and college students who are U.S. citizens are eligible to apply.

FEEA Scholarship
Since 1986, FEEA has given over 11,000 merit-based scholarships to federal public servants, their spouses, children, and grandchildren. An additional nearly 200 scholarships to surviving children whose federal employee parents died or were severely injured in the line of duty during terrorist attacks, such as those on the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building in Oklahoma City, the Pentagon on 9-11, and the US Embassies and Consulates in Kenya, Tanzania, and Libya.

New River Valley Home Builders Association's Scholarships
The New River Valley Home Builders Association Annual Scholarship Applications open this Thursday January 15th. The NRVHBA Scholarship program aims to support the future growth of the construction industry by providing aid to deserving students enrolled in construction-related studies at Virginia’s Colleges, Trade Schools and within Working Internships.
Eligibility requirements:
graduating senior who is interested in entering the building profession AND enrolling in a related field of study, including but not limited to architecture, drafting, building trades (electrical, plumbing, hvac), carpentry, contracting, and engineering.
Must go to school in one of the following school districts: Montgomery County, Pulaski County, Giles County, Floyd County, City of Radford, Wythe County, or Carroll County

Students who show a desire to pursue a home building-related career in the above list of municipalities upon graduation will be given preference above other applicants.

ASME Scholarships
The ASME High School Scholarships are available for graduating High School (HS) seniors interested in pursuing engineering degrees. Students must be enrolled full-time in an ABET- accredited* or substantially equivalent** mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology program, no later than the fall after their senior year in high school. These awards will be for the first year of study (non-renewable).

Hagan Scholarship
The Hagan Scholarship provides $2,000 to help purchase essential items for college, up to $7,500 each semester for up to 8 consecutive semesters, workshops to learn important life skills not typically covered in the college curriculum, HSF Schwab Brokerage Account to manage to learn how to invest, and up to $8,000 to study and travel abroad.

Friends of the Blue Ridge Scholarship
FRIENDS of the Blue Ridge is a non-profit based out of Roanoke with volunteer chapters in Blue Ridge communities in Virginia and North Carolina, with a mission of working to make Blue Ridge communities better.
The organization created the FRIENDS Founder Lynn Davis Scholarship to honor Lynn, the driving force behind FRIENDS. Each of our chapters will be awarding at least two $1,000 scholarships to an eligible student in their service area, which includes your school. Interested students who meet the scholarship criteria from your school are encouraged to apply.
Navy League Foundation Scholarship
The Navy League Foundation offers scholarships to high school seniors who will attend an accredited institution of higher education in the fall of the current award cycle. Applicants must be the dependent or direct descendant of a current or former member of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard or U.S.-Flag Merchant Marines or an active member of the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corps.

Lynn is a lifelong learner and spent her career pouring her energies into serving communities and government agencies with an education focus so we can be good stewards of our natural world. The $1,000 awards are supporting deserving college-bound students who expressed a desire to use their future degrees to enhance the quality of life in our Blue Ridge region.

Latino Actuaries Scholarship Program
The Organization of Latino Actuaries (OLA) awards academic scholarships to students who will be attending a US college/university next school year and are interested in the actuarial profession. Applications are open from January 1 to March 31 each year.
Applications are evaluated on various criteria including, but not limited to, academic performance, commitment to pursuing the actuarial profession, exam progress, work experience, and leadership experience. Finalists for the general scholarship are expected to be selected by July.

Roanoke Valley Wrestling Association Scholarships
The Roanoke Valley Wrestling Association will award six scholarships, Ken Shelton Memorial Scholarship, Stan Parker Memorial Scholarship, Larry France Memorial Scholarship, Rick Schilling Memorial Scholarship, Coach George Miller Memorial Scholarship, and Pete & Barbara Jones Memorial Scholarship each in the amount of $1,000 in the spring of 2026.
