Since the scholarship's launch in 2022, $188,000 has been awarded to inspire young men to attend college and feel financially prepared to do so — and we're excited to continue awarding scholarships to deserving young men through 2026!
Available to any graduating high school senior male enrolling in a four-year undergraduate college program commencing in fall 2026, scholarships range from $500 to $1,000 and are delivered directly to recipients — — via ACH transfer to use as desired.
The scholarship is designed to identify and reward outstanding high school seniors who have demonstrated an ability to excel in the fields of academics, extra-curricular activities and community involvement.

Kids' Chance of Virginia (KCVA) Scholarship
KCVA provides educational opportunities for students in Virginia whose parent or guardian has been seriously injured or tragically killed in a workplace accident. We know the immense challenges families face following a life‑altering workplace injury, and our mission is to help ensure that these students still have the chance to pursue their academic and career goals.

Jean B. Duerr Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship is awarded annually by Chapter AU, P.E.O., Blacksburg, to deserving full-time undergraduate and graduate women students. Applicants must be enrolled at an accredited academic institution for the entire 2026-2027 academic year. Qualified applicants will meet the following requirements:
High academic achievement (minimum 3.6 G.P.A.)

Volunteer Montgomery Scholarship Fund 2026
The Volunteer Montgomery Community Service Scholarship will be awarded to an outstanding Montgomery County High School Senior who is engaged in the volunteer services The Scholarship Committee has opened the application for all fields of study. In addition, a typed letter that includes volunteer services completed and future plans. The recipient will receive a $1000 scholarship for tuition assistance, which will be forwarded to the university/college of his or her choice.
This application is due on April 10 by 5:00 PM. Any application timestamped after 5:00 PM will not be accepted.

Global Change Scholars Program
The Global Change Scholars program is a collaboration between the Multicultural Academic Opportunities Program (MAOP) and the Global Change Center at Virginia Tech. The Global Change Scholars program provides financial assistance to undergraduate students from the U.S. who demonstrate a commitment to academics, research, and community stewardship. Undergraduate Scholars conduct research with Global Change Center faculty.
In exchange for financial support, Global Change Scholars must join other Undergraduate Scholars and MAOP participants in “family” meetings to share ideas and experiences with each other and attend personal and academic growth seminars designed to help students understand their role in the greater community, expand their appreciation for multiculturalism, and to achieve their academic goals. Students are also encouraged to consider advanced study options such as graduate school.
This program offers awards ranging from $750.00 to $1,500.00 for eligible U.S. citizens.
You must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
For current Virginia Tech students, you must have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher
Before beginning application, please have the full name and emails of 2 references - one of the two references should be the Global Change Center faculty member with whom you will be working and who has agreed to serve as your research mentor.
References will receive a separate notification once this application is submitted, and each will be asked to provide a reference letter.
You will also need your unofficial high school or college transcripts to upload.

Montgomery County Retired Educators Association Scholarship
The Montgomery County Reired Educators Association will award at least one scholarship to a Montgomery County Public School graduating senior who plans to enter the field of PreK-12 public education. This will be a onetime award in the amount of $1,000.

Frank E Page Scholarship
The Frank E Page Scholarship was established to give financial assistance to "deserving students who shall be graduated from the public high schools of Montgomery County, Virginia." Grants are made on a yearly basis and are renewable, dependent on the student's academic record. Criteria includes financial need and academic success. This scholarship is available for 2 or 4 year institutions and community colleges.
NOTE: Give careful consideration to Question 5 found on page four of the application. This question should be answered fully and is a very important part of the application.

Blacksburg Junior Women's Club Scholarship
The Blacksburg Junior Women’s Club (BJWC) is a nonprofit organization of women who share a common desire to serve the community while building and enjoying lasting friendships. The BJWC is part of the oldest and one of the world's largest volunteer organizations, the General Federation of Women's Clubs (GFWC) and the Virginia Federation of Women's Clubs (VFWC). GFWC programs and projects focus on the major issues of our time—supporting women’s health, preserving natural resources, promoting literacy and equality, and encouraging volunteer service—and fall into the following areas of focus: arts, preserve natural resources, advance education, promote healthy lifestyles, and encourage civic involvement. The Blacksburg Junior Women’s Club seeks to identify the needs in our area and to strive to meet those needs, specifically those involving women and children.
Three college scholarships, one for $1000 and two for $500, are available for local graduating high school seniors who demonstrate strong participation in local community service activities that fall into one or more GFWC areas of interest. It is our hope that this scholarship will be a way to encourage students of great promise to continue with their involvement in community service. The scholarship can be used towards college tuition, books, and fees. The funds will be sent directly to the recipient’s college of choice. It is required that the recipient attends college the fall semester after receiving the award. If the student does not, she will be responsible for reimbursing the BJWC for the full amount of the scholarship.

Pro-Life Scholarship Essay Contest
The 2026 Pro-Life Scholarship Essay Contest is designed to encourage high school seniors to dive deeper into understanding the issues of abortion and how it continues to affect our culture as well as individuals’ lives. It is our hope that through careful research and study, students will gain a deeper understanding of prenatal development, abortion procedures, and loving and compassionate ways to support those facing unplanned pregnancies. Students should research their essay topics in order to write well thought out, original, and persuasive pro-life arguments.
Writing Prompt: An unmarried friend or family member confides in you that they are facing an unplanned pregnancy and are planning to have an abortion. In a loving, winsome way, how would you attempt to convince them of the importance of valuing the life of this baby and continuing the pregnancy?

Montgomery County Farm Bureau Scholarship
The Montgomery County Farm Bureau will award up to four $1,000 scholarships to qualified applicants. Applicants must be graduating from MCPS, accepted to a college or university, and include a letter with information about agriculture background, career goals, and why you should be considered for this scholarship.
