Pack Time is a redesign initiative designed to build positive relationships between students and teachers. Every day each week, the entire student body meets in small groups with a teacher for the first 12 minutes of the day. The groups are mixed grade level, so 6th, 7th and 8th grade students get a chance to learn from and work with each other. Each month one of the Tessera Constructs will be a focus of questions that can be utilized to facilitate the group conversations.
The "Breakfast Club" is a program started by school guidance counselor Jeff Alllmon and reading/math intervention specialist LeeAnn Reiss. Breakfast club is an engaging way for teachers and students to gather together twice a week to build a strong sense of community, and set children up for success socially and academically. Time is spent sharing openly about multiple topics.
